Microbeads (Prohibition) Bill 2019

Order on prohibition of microplastics in rinse-off cosmetic products
The draft order on prohibition of microplastics in rinse-off cosmetic products contains an interim prohibition against the import, export and sale of rinse-off cosmetic products containing microplastics. Its objective is to protect the marine environment from microplastics and the order is associated with the Plastic Action Plan, which is a national action plan whose objectives include reducing the amount of microplastic discharged into the environment |
Cannabis cosmetic products
On 16th June 2019, the Government of Canada published the Regulations Amending the Cannabis Regulations (New Classes of Cannabis): SOR/2019-20, including cosmetic products of topical application.
This same month, a consultation was opened on potential market for cannabis health products that would not require practitioner oversight.

New GB standards for testing of cosmetic products
Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China (SAC) published the Announcement No.7 of 2019 on the approval of national standards and national standard amendments.
